Faced with record growth and rising demand, METALfx, a precision metal fabricator in Willits, CA, held its first ever Hiring Fair on Monday 8/16/21.

Interested candidates arrived at 200 N. Lenore Drive between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.  They were greeted by BJ Gutierrez, Director of Human Resources, and invited to complete an application.   Qualified candidates toured METALfx’ 125,000 SF manufacturing facility and learned more about the company.

Gutierrez was happy with the turnout.  “We had 36 candidates sign in for the event,” she said, “and made offers to 14 which were accepted on the spot.”  She continued, “We were especially pleased that over 90% of our applicants came from Willits and Brooktrails”.

“It was a huge success,” declared Henry Moss, METALfx President.  He credited Gutierrez with organizing the event that allowed potential candidates to meet the hiring manager, tour the facility and learn more about MFX’s benefits and growth plans.  They were also treated to a delicious hot lunch of pulled pork and gifted with a MFX promotional item.

When asked if all positions had been filled, Gutierrez was quick to respond.   “No,” she said, “Although the Hiring Fair filled many openings, some positions are still available.”  She added, “A handful of applicants were not able to wait for a manager and need further follow-up.”
