SHIPPING SUPERVISOR

The Shipping Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing and fulfillment activities in the shipping department of our sheetmetal manufacturing shop.  Responsible for the direct supervision of our shipping, material handling, inventory control and driver teams to ensure high quality of work, maximum productivity, and on-time delivery. Ideal candidate is a natural leader who is comfortable mentoring, instructing and training team members to be successful at every level. The role will plan, assign, direct and support all aspects of the shipping department

 

  • Lead (,train, supervise, develop) a team of packaging and material handling associate , drivers and loaders
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork to ensure productivity and deliverables targets are met
  • Plan, delegate and coordinate daily tasks to appropriate team members with clear directions
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of work activities and employee performance
  • Coordinate and support shipping/receiving, picking/packing/checking, inventory/storage, loading/unloading
  • Ensure the effective dispatching of company delivery trucks
  • Ensure that safety, security, and organization/cleanliness are maintained daily
  • Ensure maintainance of all work vehicles, equipment and tools by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, conducting preventive maintenance, calling for repairs, etc.
  • Conduct regular meetings and product reports to improve safety, productivity and accuracy
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to expedite shipments and resolve problems

ELECTRICIAN/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Electrician / Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring and lighting systems working from technical blueprints or under direct supervision. Success in this role typically requires a certificate from a technical college and experience working on simple and complex electrical systems. Must display desire and capability in development of manufacturing electrical maintenance outside the scope of general electric work is required.

 

Include the following but not limited to:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems including 480v 3phase
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Perform general electrical maintenance
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring and fixtures
  • Follow National Electrical Code State and Local building regulations
  • Circuit breaker corrective maintenance
  • Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
  • Good knowledge of various test equipment
  • Basics in hydraulics, carpentry, and ovearall mechanical knowledge is a plus
  • Wears PPE as required and keeps work area clean and well organized.

TRUCK DRIVER

Compensation Range: $18.00 – $21.00 Hourly, DOE (Depending on experience)

Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations and assiststhe shipping and receiving department by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Include the following but not limited to:

  • Verifies load against shipping papers. Drives truck to destination. Verifies and signs receipts for load picked up.
  • Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges for C.O.D. shipments. Maintains a professional and attentive attitude when dealing with customer concerns.
  • Maintains truck safety inspection and fuel logs
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Makes daily inspections of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water; drains air reservoirs; and performs routine maintenance of same
  • Performs emergency roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
  • Determines space requirements and position of shipment in turcks and lays out position of shipment. Determines routing of trucks, according to established schedules and relative proximity of destinations.  Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
  • Loads and unloads cargo or assists others in same. Assures that cargo is properly secured in order to facilitate damage free transport to destination and to eliminate shifting of loads.
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles inside and out.
  • Reads and applies road map skills and chooses appropriate routes to expedite each day deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Prepares product for shipment (when not engaged in driving activity) by palletizing, wrapping, inspecting, packing, or performing duties prescribed by shipping supervisor or manager.

MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

The Maintenance Specialist is a skilled and experienced maintenance professional responsible for conducting general maintenance and repair under direction of supervision and in conjunction with the maintenance team, applicants are expected to perform services in a  manufacturing environment utilizing skills and knowledge in areas such as mechanical, electrical / electronic, hydraulics, carpentry, painting, locksmith or machine servicing, and all additional areas of necessary plant maintenance as needed.

  • Selects and lays out required materials per work orders and verbal instruction
  • Sets up and operates tools and machines incidental to operations
  • Assists in requisitioning of new supplies and equipment

  • Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment
  • Performs wide variety of general maintenance tasks as necessary

EXPERIENCED TIG WELDERS | 2ND SHIFT

Successful applicant for this position will have worked in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, Have 3+ years in production TIG welding and have TIG welding experience with stainless steel, galvanized and mild steel. This position is full-time, 2ND shift requiring at least 50 hours weekly.
Compensation Range: $21.00 – $31.00 Hourly, DOE (Depending on experience)

 

  • Performs TIG & MIG welding of stainless steel, galvanized and mild steel
  • Fabricates parts and components from shop drawings or blue prints
  • Perform job tasks in a safe and efficient manner; observe all safety policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work with fractions and decimal system using a tape measure and calipers
  • Utilizes computer terminal to log into jobs and maintain accurate job records.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Reliable Team Player
  • Three + years of TIG welding and fabrication experience
  • Ability to fabricate from blueprints, drawings and templates
  • Knowledge of standard weld symbols and standards.
  • High school education, GED or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Proven measurement and mathematical fraction / decimal conversion skills using a tape measure and calipers
