product on time.
Purchasing brings
raw stock and purchased parts into the facilities so
Production has the material necessary to produce parts.
Purchased parts
for high volume production are managed based on lead
times (sometimes long) and weekly quantities needed.
High
volume production is planned and executed to customers' MRPs
(Material Requirement Planning). Many long term customers utilize
JIT (Just In Time) or Kanban manufacturing to meet on going
needs while minimizing the need to warehouse large quantities
of product. Dock-to-Stock programs benefit the customer by
eliminating the need for incoming inspection by the customer.
On
the other end of the production spectrum, prototype, reproduction
and small volume runs are handled quickly
and efficiently
to provide production with the material
needed for these fast-paced
jobs.
METALfx utilizes
a fleet of their own trucks from Willits,
California directly to customers' facilities
as well as to the Fremont,
California warehouse / sales office.
Common carrier services are used as needed
throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
In
all areas, Materials Management works to make
sure the customer's needs are met.
